Simvastatin Generic Zocor

I have been taking Simvastatin for an elevated cholesterol level. It is the generic version of the drug called Zocor. At the advice of my doctor I have been taking it for a couple of years now. I must say that my cholesterol levels are in good shape thanks to this medication along with some walking, exercise at the gym and a reasonable diet. I have not noticed any side effects at all at the present time.My doctor has been very pleased with my cholesterol levels. Mine went from being over 200 to about 167 which is within the range that they approve of. I am not sure how the cost would be for Simvastatin without any health insurance. I get a month's supply with a 20 dollar co-pay using my employer sponsored plan. Anyway Simvastatin has done an effective job for me and without side effects as I mentioned above.
