Sippy Cups Are Not For Chardonnay By NekoNeko on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Soon-to-be first time moms beware! Your world is going to change, and you're not going to know up from down when it happens! But don't worry, there are people who know what you're supposed to be doing!

Stephanie Wilder-Taylor has some good firsthand advice for new moms facing the challenge that drives so many of us insane. From dealing with a sleepy baby to the constant nagging advice from just about everyone, she shares her experiences as an uptight, constantly alert mother through her baby's first year or so.

Mrs. Wilder-Tayolor's advice is great, and she discusses many things that I have learned in the last 9 months. Her querky point of veiw and tongue-in-cheek humor made looking back at my uber-mommy moments a little less painful. The only problem with her narrative is that she throws out pop culture similies and metaphores like the Joker threw out money in Batman. D'oh!

This book, while about much needed (though often neglected) advice for new mothers, could have used some work. It certainly would make a great gift, especially for the slightly OCD friend who just announced their little bundle.
