Sirius Stratus Radio By Tony on - Updated Sep 18, 2011

The Sirius Stratus satellite radio is on the lower end of the spectrum in terms of features and price for satellite radios.

After having problems with the most expensive model, I decided to try the cheapest. This radio has 10 presets, a digital display and that is about it. It is bare bones, but that is OK. I actually prefer the simplicity.

The unit itself is fairly small. It about six inches wide and two inches tall. You can mount the unit on your dash, but I opted for just placing it in my center counsel of my car. It fits nicely and is secure.

The biggest problem with the Stratus is that without an FM direct connection, you will get a lot of interference from other radio stations. I installed the FM direct and now have perfect reception.

I would only recommend the Startus with an FM direct connection. I like the simplicity and lack of features. It does what I want it to do and nothing more.
