Skate. For Xbox 360 By Corbet on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Skate is a brand new game made by EA, famouse for it's series of sports games including Madden, NCCA, NBA, and NHL. EA decided to make a high quality skate game to finally compete with the Tony Hawk franchise. But instead of going for the "over the top" feel, EA went with a more realistic approach. You start out as a typical skater and work your way up to become sponsered, make money, and win contests. The game has an almost epic feel, due to it's intro which actually was recorded with a bunch of skaters. Skate's environment broke up into 34 different areas and there are a ton of areas to explore. The game features a ton of popular sponsered skaters and a ton of products that skaters user. The graphics are very good, nothing too impressive but the environment is huge and there are hardly any load times. The one thing I like about this game is there is always something you can do, whether competing in trick contests, down hill racing, or doing video objectives, you'll always keep busy while playing Skate. Overall I highly recommend Skate for anyone who may be interesting in Skateboading.
