Skate is probably the best skating game out at the minute. It is one of the first to take the step away from the Tony Hawk's genre of skating where it is somewhat comical and un realistic. Skate is a serious and realistic skating game, where you have to make your way from the bottom to the top as the best skater in town. One of the bad things about Skate, is the camera angle, which is awkward, looking up to the skater from below. One of the best things about Skate is its realism, where by you can only do basically what a real skater could. For example you can't start the game with the ability to backflip down stairs or do the best trick possible. this realism is also evident through grinds, where you have to ollie and land perfectly on the ledge to do a grind, instead of simply pressing the grind button and automatically the skater jumps to the grind no matter whether he was going to land on it or not. Really good skating game but needs some improvements.
