Skating Ducks Quack Me Up

Just about anything having to do with ducks brings a smile to my face, That's why when I found these winter/holiday ducks at a Hallmark shop last year, I had to buy them. They brought a huge smile to my face and I knew I'd regret it if I left them behind.
The ducks are made of wood and are well painted. The colors are bright and cheery. I love the stocking caps on the babies and the pretty hat with ribbon on Mama Duck. Each duckling has its own unique personality and as I look at them, I can imagine their "voices" as they skate or look to their sibling or mother. Maybe I've seen Donald Duck too many times, but I always put voices to characters like this.
The wreath decoration around the neck of Mama Duck gives it a Christmas look, but I enjoy these too much to put them away when I took down my decorations. I see them as more of a winter decoration and during the dark long months of winter, I will get my smiles wherever I can.
There are other items to go with this theme, but by the time I got to the store this year, they were already gone.
I love characters, such as these ducks that seem to have life in them. They "quack" me up.
