Skin by Melissa Etheridge

There are very few singers who have the ability to not only sing a great song, but write them as well. Singer / song writers are indeed a rare breed. In my opinion, most are better artists than your typical performer, because of the fact what they are singing comes from them. It's more genuine, real. The singer / songwriter is able to express themselves in song because it's their words, their emotions, a piece of them. Melissa Etheridge is one of those artists. The cd titled "Skin" is one of her many releases that is among my very top picks in my music collection. There is a certain quality about her music that moves your spirit, and fits the mood, and there really hasn't been a song off any of her cd's that I haven't liked. Including the 10 titles from this cd, which are:

* It's Only Me

* I Want to be in Love

All great tracks, and all hits in my opinion. Also, little tid bit out there for you Etheridge fans who may not know this, check out tracktitled "Heal Me", it features back up vocals by Laura Dern and Meg Ryan. Pretty great hunh? If you get a chance check it out, I know you'll love it.
