Slate's The Explainer By Kurenai on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

This book is quite fun and will leave you reading for several hours. The premises of "The Explainer" is well, obviously to explain random daily life questions that you've always thought of but never got an answer to.

What kinds of questions, you might ask? There's a wide range of topics from Conspiracy Theories ("What is a paint bomb?") to the Perks of Power ("Who can lie in Congress?"). It's hard to describe how many questions there are, but you'll have quite a fun time reading this book and finding out the answers. The book is especially good for kids, as it'll most likely stimulate their minds.

However, the book can get kind of boring sometimes. It's a good read, but not rereadable much. Overall, I recommend it.
