Sleek Shine For Dry or Unmanageable Hair

I have extremely long hair; it tends to have a lot of those annoying fly aways. It also sometimes looks (and feels) kind of dry and dull. I dont even want to talk about the tangles after I wash it or when I get up in the morning! So, I got this because it says that it takes care of a bunch of those problems.

Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine Weightless Anti-Frizz Serum is a leave on product. It is clear, fairly thin and has a light, pleasant fruity, fresh scent. It also has nutritive fruit micro oils in it to condition and tame those fly away and frizz actions you may have going on!It can also be used by all hair types for nourishing/conditioning, but works extremely well for someone with dry/damaged hair.

PACKAGING & DIRECTIONS
This comes in a 5.1 floz bottle with a pump top applicator.I got mine quite awhile ago so the actual packaging may look different now. The bottle I have is clear and round like a ball with a bright neon green pump.

The directions basically say to dispense one pump (or however much you need for your hair) into your handsapply evenly to towel dried or dried hair. Do NOT rinse. The bottle says that for the sleekest look use a styling brush and a blow dryer and of course for best results use with their Sleek & Shine Shampoo & Conditioners.

MY EXPERIENCE
Well, when I use this, I apply it when my hair is still damp after a washing. I dispense one pump at a time. This does have oils in it so it feels smoothbut very oily. It is hard to get off your hands! You have to wash your hands with soap to take off the oily film it leaves! As I was saying, I only dispense and apply one pump at a timea little goes a SUPER long way and if you use to much...your hair will look like (OILY?GREASY) you havent washed it in a reallyreallyREALLY long time. My hair hangs about 10 inches past my waist and I use 3 pumps MAX.I just rub my hands together and start rubbing it the length of my hair.

Then I use a brush...2 things I think using the brush helps with...I like to think that the brush will help get the serum spread out more evenly AND the serum is a great detangler! The brush just slips through all the tangles and I dont end up with a huge wad of hair ripping out!

I love the scent of this Sleek & Shine Serum!Usually I try to avoid fruity smelling thingsthis one actually smells GOOD, it is slightly tropical smellingand I think there is a little floral something mixed into the potion as well. It leaves a light fresh and fruity scent lingering in my haireven after my hair dries.(You have to actually bury your face in your hair to smell it..it's NOT strong at all)

I have never used this when my hair was completely drythe directions say you can...I just dont. When my hair does dry, it IS sleek and smooth! LOL! No fly awaysNo frizzyand it is shiny! Dont get me wrong...Im not saying its a KABLAM kind of shineits a healthy light gloss look! And it is NOT at all greasy feeling (unless you use too much!) it just feels silky and smooth!

It is also easier to brush out the tangleseven when my hair is dryand when I first wake up in the morning. This easier manageability, shine and anti-frizz lasts for daysI have never gone more than 3 days without washing my hair. So thats how long I know it is helpful for me.

Although I have said that it is oilyI should tell you that it does wash out of your hair with absolutely no problems. I have used this with the sleek and shine shampoo and conditioner they suggest and I have to say that I didnt notice any difference as far as getting better results. I use a different shampoo and conditioner and it still works great!

The only thing I wish were different is that I wish I didnt have to use my hands to apply it! I am so weirded out by greasy oily feelings on my hands! But, this does such a wonderful job that I can put up with it!

I think that anyone looking for a leave in conditioner, anti-frizz, smoothing and shining hair care product would find this helpful! I really like it!

It should be easy to find anywhere that sells hair care products. I got mine at Wal-mart for $2.99.
