We bought the SleepMate 980 for my ds when he was a baby to block out inside and outside noise and it works perfect!!
This is a off white, small machine. Cylindrical in shape - size is 5.75" base diameter, 3.25" high. Weight is about 1.6 lb.It has a long 8' cord.
This creates a sound similar to a fan. It creates a consistent, smooth sound of rushing air without actually blowing air around the room.
The tone and volume of the sound are controlled by simply rotating the "cap" and "collar" of the housing.It is a two speeds (high and low).We have found this to bevery durable and have had no problems with it at all.
I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants to block noises and have a nice night of uninterrupted sleep .

I sleep with a small fan on at night for the noise. I have tried white noise machines but they don't work for me. This sounds perfect, I'm going to check it out.
