I own this Select Comfort Bed/Mattress. I have never slept better. My old spring mattress was getting pretty worn and my husband and I walked into a Select Comfort store at our local mall and laid down on a few of these beds and I was so glad we did. The mattress is an air mattress and if you've never had the opportunity to sleep on air it is really quite an experience. It is much more comfortable than the typical spring mattress. The great thing about this air mattress is that you can change the levels (your sleep number) to however your body is feeling that day. If your back is sore and you need a little more firmness you can change to a higher sleep number. My sleep number is 35 which is pretty soft. My body sleeps in the mattress not on top of it. This bed is extremely comfortable and it really helps you get a better nights sleep because you control the firmness/softness depending upon your needs. This queen size mattress comes with two controllers so each side can be set at different levels of comfort. You do not need to purchase special sheets for it, any deep pocket sheets fit this mattress. I can't imagine ever going back to sleeping on springs again. If your in need of a new mattress check this one out. You'll find yourself sleeping like a baby again.

Boy I have seen ads for this but wasn't sure if it really worked. Thanks for the info. I have a waterbed with tubes and am ready to go back to a regular mattress. Thanks this helps.
I want a sleep number bed soooooo bad. I slept on one at a hotel once and it was my best night sleep ever. I wish we had the money for one but we are saving for it.
Thanks for info about a type of bed that most of us haven't tried out yet. I don't think I'd want to spend that much for a mattress, but then again, if I had trouble sleeping without one, who knows!
I want a sleep number bed really bad. My neighbor has one and is always commenting how great it is. I don't think I can afford one though! That is a lot of money for a bed!
If we had the money we would so buy this! My husband and myself have terrible backs and we never sleep well anymore no matter what we do :( This is something we have both wanted, but until we get through this financial slump..:(

Sounds like sleeping on clouds :0) Wish I could afford one...we could really use one with changing firmness with my hubbys back problems. Hey, maybe that's what I'll use my money from SR for LOL:0)
This sounds like sheer heaven! We are due to buy and new bed and have been trying to decide to choose between this one and the temperpedic mattress. I like the fact that you can change the firmness levels according to how your body is feeling each night. My husband and I both have lower back problems so this may be the way to go . You provided enough convincing details about this one which makes me feel like this is the one!
I have never tried one of these but would like to.
We have a select comfort bed too and we love it. I sometimes miss the "bounce" of a regular bed and have issues when sitting on it to put on shoes but otherwise I'm very happy with it.
