Slow Cooker By 3 Robins By 3Robins on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I love to cook and experiment with different foods, but there are some days that I just perfer to throw some ingredients into a pot and let it cook all day. That is why I love my Hamilton Beach slow cooker.

My slow cooker is as simple as anything can be. You have the choice of off, warm, low and high. That's it! It is a 7 qt pot and is large enough to make a big pot of soup or a roast or whole chicken. The cooker has a removable dish that is so easy to clean. I just put it in the dishwasher and forget about it!

The removable dish is very heavy, though. I do not have a problem lifting it when I need to pour out its contents, however, my aunt owns the same slow cooker and due to a shoulder injury years ago, she says that it is very difficult to lift.

I love the fact that I can cook a meal in my slow cooker and if it is done before suppertime, the warm setting keeps it warm without making the food dry. It also has a glass lid so that you are able to take a peek at the progress without opening the lid. (It has been told to me that when you lift the lid of your slow cooker, it lets cold air in and messes up the cooking process.)

If you are in the market fo an assistant in the kitchen, I would definately recommend this Hamilton Beach slow cooker.

I love our slow cooker, but it's starting to get a little old. I'll keep this in mind if our decides to go haywire!
