Slow Cooker Recipe Collection saves time
By Demon_Buttercup onI love a good meal from the crock pot - they taste like you have been standing over the stove all day with minimal work. However until recently I never really made more in my slow cooker than pot roast or stew.I knew there were a lot more things I could be making so I kept my eye out for a good slow cooker recipe book.
While browsing through a LTD Commodities catalog, I found the Slow Cooker Recipe Collection book that is actually 3 previous recipe books now all together in this one.
First, I have to share what really impressed me about this book, the cover has a clear plastic dustjacket! No cooking messes are going to get on it and ruin it!Quite innovative if you ask me.
The recipes in the book are amazing and easy - Meatball Grinders, Chicken Stew, Peachy Keen Dessert are just some of the meals in the book. There are so many more - from soups and casseroles to desserts and everything in between.I would have never guessed some of the recipes could be made so simply in a slow cooker!
The last little unique feature of this book is an approximate 10 page section in the back called My Favorites - it has blank pages like a journal where you write about your favorite recipes you've tried, what might have went well at a dinner party, etc.
If you're looking for easy ideas for great slow cooker meals this book is one you will want in your collection.

Always looking for quick cooking ideas..
I love cooking in my slow cooker and am always trying to find new recipes to try in it. i will have to try to find this thanks!
I'll have to look for this. I love crockpot cooking especially in the autumn and winter months.
I would love to have this cookbook now that I am back working, do you know where you can get it? I don't know of the catalog you mentioned.
