Smaller Blood Amount Needed Precision Xtra By Geralyn Hydock on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
Are you a diabetic who has to test your blood sugar several times a day? For those of us who need to do so, you know what a hassle it can be. As a diabetic I have to test my blood so I can regulate my insulin dose. We use these small machines or monitors which do the testing for us but we have to provide the blood. I was so thankful when I went to the doctor and she gave me this new and improved monitor. It makes testing my sugar less painful and less time consuming.
I line many others who have this disease, have to test my blood for sugar content at least five to six times daily. Each time I test my blood, I have to prick our fingers and squeeze a droplet of blood onto the test strip. My fingers get quite sore after all the squeesing for more blood. My old Precision monitor called for more blood than this new and improved model. The Precision Xtra in it's newly fashioned, smaller size, requires less blood than before. Not only do I have to collect less blood with this new monitor but I am able to get the results a lot faster . No more waiting a long while for your sugar levels.
This product has come a long way since the first one I used almost four years ago. It is compact and fits neatly inside a small case which provides room for lancets, alcohol preps, test strips, and a small log. I can put it into my bag and not use lots of room or I could even put it into my pants pocket, itis that compact. This is a dream come true for we diabetics who's very lives depend upon precision medical equipment for our disease. Despite the fact that is requires less blood, gives quicker results, and is portable, this monitor is precise other diabetics and my own lives depend upon it. This is nothing to fool around with. You will truly enjoy the excellence of this monitor!

sounds like a great product. Unfortunitly I might have to keep this in mind in the future, my family is full of diabetes so I have a very high chance of developing it.
