Smart Combination External Hard Drive from Toshiba
By Mardya Wandry onLast month, I was bought an external hard drive. I need it to support my mobile activities, so that I can bring important data in a big and secure storage. After searched for a while, I decide to choose Toshiba 650 GB external hard drives (HDDR640E04XR). For the first impression I like the design, which is slim and small. It would be perfect for me to support my daily activities because I can put it in my pocket.
This external hard drive only uses USB 2.0 port to connect with any computer or device, so its very helpful and easy for me. But it also become the weakness because there are no other connection port besides USB port, so if the USB port did not work properly, there will be no alternative port to connect it to the computer. But it doesnt matter for me because USB port is safe and the broken possibility is very small.
Besides the weakness, the external hard drive has a big capacity (640 GB). That will be enough for me to save any data without have to worry the storage will be full. I also can use the back up software, so that I can prevent the data from any loss or broken any time. Toshiba external hard drive also provides the user with password to protect the entire drive with a 256 bit encryption and a nice safety measure. The most special and my favorite feature in the hard drive is the disaster recovery solution, this feature can help a crashes PC or Windows, by turning the hard drive as a full restore, with NTI backup now program that will allow you to turn the drive into a bootable disk with a full drive image.
Overall Toshiba 650 GB external hard drives have helped me and become my favorite choice to accompany me anywhere. This external hard drive has a great combination of software and hardware, besides I can save my data in a big storage it can also backup my PC or laptop drive regularly and I can get it with affordable and competitive price.
I am not very good on technical things like this regarding computers, soft wares etc. That's why I enjoy reading reviews like this which give me ideas and knowledge. Thanks for sharing.
Our son has an external hard drive that comes in handy if he needs to do repairs or anything. files that need to be saved can be safely stored while he upgrades our computer with a new operating system, for instance. thanks for the review!
Sometimes if the USB port is not reading your device; or the lights are not turning on the External Hard Drive, it may be because its not getting enough power. There are power adapters you can purchase for these devices that split off into two USB connectors - one will be black and the other grey/white. The black one is for connectivity primarily as well as power, and the grey/white one is power only. Most modern laptops have enough the capacity to power a device such as a hard drive with the single USB connector.
