The Smart Parts Ion is an electronic marker placed firmly in the budget price range. It's one of the most popular markers on the market and pleases just about anyone. I've been paintballing for about 3 years now and the Ion was my first marker, with very little maintenance it has been performing like new. It has adjustable dwell, alowing you to find your optimum air effenciency, and it also sports several firing modes including: semi-auto, full auto, three shot burst, and "rebound" mode which is also known as ramping. It shoots 17 balls per second out of the box but that can be increased with several aftermarket parts. I have had a problem with the macroline under the marker though, one of the fittings started leaking and I couldn't remove the hose so I had to replace the whole fitting. An electronic loader is advisable it meet the full potentional of the marker. It's very light weight and compact, and has interchangeable plastic body sleeves that you can purchase to change the look of the marker. For the price it's a great budget market with lots of upgradable parts.
