SmartCAD

Any E911, Police, EMS, or Fire Dispatcher will tell you that having a CAD is one of the most important pieces of equipment other than the phone and the radio. Picking the best CAD can be a trial and error procedure not to mention it can cost hundreds of thousands if not millions of dollars to purchase. Choosing the right CAD is very crucial. SmartCop is just one of the few CADs out there.

SmartCop is a CAD of average use. Personally, I find SmartCop is a great program as far as being user friendly and easy to learn. Thats very important when you are busy or training someone.

Unfortunatly, technical issues seem to be a problem. SmartCop tends to be slower then the average CAD. Unlike most CADS, even though it may be on a private network, it is still tied in to the SmartCop producers for updates and technical support reasons. In the event that you have techical problems, don't count on SmartCop to help you out.

All and all the program itself is easy, and quite useful. However, getting assistance may not be so easy!
