Smith's Rosebud Salve By Cindy Leggett on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

About the only thing this product has going for it is the sweet rose scent, and the cute vintage tin it is package in. The best way to describe the contents of that very hard to open tin? Glorified Vaseline! The texture and consistency is just like Vaseline that has had a red color and a rose scent added to it, and this small change is certianly not worth the rather hefty price tag for such a small amount of product.. It's really a bit too greasy for everyday use on the lips, and tends to melt easily inside the tin when carried in a purse or pocket, which makes a HUGE mess! The normal texture is rather goopy to start with. It can be used for cuticles or chapped skin as a multi-purpose ointment, according to the label, but I honestly wasn't too impressed with this product. I don't think I would buy it again.
