Smith's Rosebud Salve By Rachel Reviews By RachelReviews on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Smith's Rosebud Salve is a product that I have been using for 7 years. I can barely believe how long I have been faithful to the same salve. It has a delightful sweet smell. It smells slightly like roses. It has a barely there pink tint to it. I use this product for multiple purposes, but mostly use it as a lip balm. Due to its petrolatum content, it has a high-gloss. And if one applies a lot of it, the lip balm can look quite glossy like a lip gloss. It spreads very easily without snagging on chapped lips and is quite soothing.

Some other uses I have found for it are as follows: a brow-tamer for wayward brow hairs, treatment for dry patches of skin on my face (I have not found it to break me out), and as a cuticle softener.

I love the appearance of the vintage looking tin that the salve comes in. Though, I do not love products that I have to dip my fingers or hands in. I find them to be unhygienic. I put up with that because I like Rosebud Salve so much.
