I am a big fan of mineral makeup. I had been using Sheer Cover for a couple of years when I found Smoky Mountain Minerals on ebay. I was looking for some refills for my foundation. I saw this company and decided to give it a try because it was cheaper than Sheer Cover. I bid on the starter set because that seemed a logical place to start to compare the two products.
My starter kit came with small containers of three different colors of their mineral foundation. I ordered the medium shade set because that seems to be what most women use. My skin is not fair and it isn't tanned so this choice was perfect. My set contained a sample of the fair, medium and tan colors. I like this idea because you can mix a couple of them or all of them together to find your perfect match. The set also came with a blush, glow, consealer, bronzer and finishing veil. There was also a sample of the black eyeliner which you can apply wet or dry. A makeup brush is included with the set but I suggest you invest in a good kabuki brush to apply your minerals for the best coverage.
After I found the two main colors I use, I now buy refills in baggies (see picture above) for added savings. I use the Medium shade most of the year and during the summertime I add some Tan to it. If I am tanning I will switch over to the Tan shade by itself.
The sets come with instructions that are easy to follow. You just buff on the minerals until you have the coverage you desire. It doesn't look like you have makeup on but you will love the coverage. It covers many imperfections including acne and roscea. It is easily removed with any facial cleanser.

I really enjoy when you can order starter kits like this one - that way you can really play around with the colors and not waste a ton of money. I've not tried this brand, but it sounds like a good option.
