Smoothie Elite By crunkyjens on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I love making smoothies and the occasional margarita or daquiri so it's very important to me that I have a good blender. Enter the Smoothie Elite by Back to Basics. This blender has a 500 watt motor that has three different speeds, and also a 56-ounce jar with handy measuring marks. What's unique about this blender versus other blenders are two things. First it has a dispenser valve to serve the smoothies without making any mess; and second it has a stiring stick which you insert through the lid to break up air pockets and move the ingrediants around while it is blending.

Overall I feel that this blender is definitely good for the money; although I have had some problems using the dispenser valve. A lot of the time there are pieces of fruit too big to fit through the valve so then it gets clogged, even after thorough blending. So usually I just end up pouring the drink into a glass, which is just as easy.

So if you are looking for a good blender then I would definitely recommend the smoothie elite. It has lasted me almost a year now and it is still going strong.
