Snack with friends at Amici

One Saturday afternoon, a circle of friends and I had a simple snack celebration at Amici restaurant, SM Megamall, for all the birthday celebrators of the month. We ordered a whole pizza and two kinds of pasta for the whole group. The foods were good. We bought a cake, Sylvannas, to treat the group. The cake taste good specially the crispy base, I think it is called meringue, in 5 thin layers with cream in between, topped with nuts. The butter cream was blended perfectly with the base. However, I noticed that almost all in the group removed the excess cream and they said that it's too sweet. I enjoyed the cake but I also admit that there are parts of it, those with thicker cream, taste extra sweet. Analyzing the mixture of the butter cream alone, I think the sugar content is just right. If the cream was evenly and proportionate with thickness of the base, I think it won't taste extra sweet. For me, I like the cake as a whole and everyone had a great snack.
