Snagit is popular screen capture software made by Techsmith company. Techsmith is famous for producing screen capture softwares. Their Camtasia software is popular video capture software. Snagit captures photos of screen. It does very good job. Snagit gives you several options in capturing photos of your screen such as capturing the whole screen, capturing a window or it even lets you capture custom regions selected by you. Snagit comes with inbuilt photo editor. This photo editor has lots of features and most of the functions we need are available with Snagit photo editor. It also lets you edit even other photos which are not captured by Snagit. Snagit also captures videos. But you were not offered much functions as there are in Camtasia studio. With Snagit we can capture, edit and publish photos to popular photo storage services like photobucket, Imageshack etc. You can also use Snagit to convert photos from one format to another format. It supports almost all formats and during conversion it offers you several options like cropping, quality of target photo etc. Snagit is very good software.
