Sneaker Treater Gets A Thumbs Up! By ohthethinksyouwillthink on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
Quick, what do athletes, high schoolers, people who work long hours, people who work out, and mom's of teenagers all have in common?
They all look for ways to combat smelly shoes!
While looking for a "cure" for my husbands work shoes, I was determined to find an effective alternative to the traditional and messy baking-soda-in-in-the-bottom-of-the-shoe meathod. Oder Eaters didn't work for us. But then I found Dr. Scholl's Sneaker Treater. It is essentially an aersol deodorant for shoes, and it works!
This isn't just a cover-up though. Sneaker Treater removes the smell from shoes. The spray contains alcohol and chlorine, which kills the odor-causing bacteria, as well as eucalyptus oil, which leaves a faint fresh sent behind.
Two days in a row, I thoroughly sprayed my husband's shoes inside and out and left them to dry. Since then (over a week), I haven't had to re-spray them!
The smelliness is gone, and I didn't have to work hard or use much product to do it. I still have over three-quarters of the bottle left, so there's plenty to go around and to use for touch-ups if and when we need it.
Thanks Dr. Scholl's!

This seems like a great product. I need to pick up a can next time we are out. I bet it will help with leather shoes too, the way they hold onto odors.
