SNES - Super Entertainment System review

This was my first video game system. I got it when I was about 7. Since then, I've also gotten the N64, Gamecube, PS2, and a couple couple gameboys. Overall, this is still my favorite system.

Physically, Nintendo seems to build their systems very well. It still functions perfectly after over a decade, although sometimes I have to blow on the cartridges.

I feel like the controller design is also the best made so far. Even though the newer generation of consoles are more ergonomic, the SNES is the most adaptable for any hand size, and it is very small and easy to store. It also has just the right balance of buttons for controllability and complexity.

The games are also fantastic. You have the Mario and Donkey Kong games, which are fantastic platformers, The final fantasies for RPG, and various assorted odds and ends.
