SOFT LIGHTING FOR ANY ROOM!

I was shopping with my daughter at Ikea this weekend. I am redoing my den and needed new lamps. I love everything about Ikea and was sure I would find something I would want. Sure did, they are little more expensive than I wanted to pay but I fell in love with them.
I guess you would call these hurricane lamps. They look like they are glass but actually they are a hard plastic. Unless you pick them up, you wouldn't know it. The ones I bought are clear with white etching. They also have the same lamp in frosted glass. I thought the clear looked a little more elegant. They stand 18" tall and give off a soft light. I wouldn't recommend them for reading but they give just enough light when I am working on the computer (voting my little heart out!) The highest wattage recommended is 15W.
What I like best is really the plastic. I have them sitting on the top shelf of my desk and I know that if by accident I happen to knock them off, they won't break. It really is a nice addition to any decor!
I remember seeing this lamp the last time I was at IKEA looking for one. But I didn't think it would give me enough light so I didn't purchase it. Don't you just love IKEA?! :o) I'm glad it gives you enough light for working on your computer, we don't want you voting in the dark!
