I have naturally thick and wavy hair. For me this means I either have to wear my hair up/ pulled back or I have to use some sort of de-frizzing or deep conditioning type product. I have tried many, many products and while some work alright, I have not found any that I am particularly happy with. I am always looking to find something better.

Then I happened upon Pantene's Fortifying Fortifier. Yes, the name seems a bit like a bad joke, but that is indeed what it is called. This is a deep conditioning product. You do your normal hair washing and then apply the fortifying fortifier and let it sit for 3 minutes before rinsing. You use the product in place of your usual conditioner approximately once a week. This is a pretty routine set of directions, simple enough.

I honestly did not expect results. I have used so many products that don't seem to do anything different for my hair and I expected the same when it came to the fortifying fortifier. But, I was wrong this time! The product left my hair noticeably calmer (less fly aways and frizz) and much more manageable. I was so happy to find my hair feeling softer and being able to wear it down without getting out the hair straightener or loads of calming/ defrizz/ relaxing products.

I highly recommend Pantene's Fortifying Fortifier! The one and only thing that I didn't like about it was the smell. While you are using it, it smells a lot like cough syrup. That being said, after it is rinsed and your hair is dried it smells different- it has a pleasant smell. It will definitely remain a part of my weekly routine.
