Solar Powered Garden Lights
By kateri27 onI wanted to buy solar power lights for the front of my house.I found a set of six silver solar powered lights from the LTD catalog and decided to give them a go.
These lights were easy to install.They simply have a pointed stake at the bottom of the light and you just press the whole unit in place.They have an on off switch which was unexpected because they are solar powered.
The lights were attractive and sleek, but when it came to providing light, they really didn't cut it.They do light up, but it is just a soft glow, nothing that would light your way.
The other issue that I had with these lights came when I moved to a new house.I wanted to take the lights with me, but could not get them out of the ground.When they finally did come out of the ground the bottom (the slanted stake that made instillation so easy) remained in the ground.
Needless to say I have not put these lights up yet in the new house.
I like my solar lights. we have them in our flower bed out fromt and they set a beautiful glow off to the flowers in the evenings.

Well obviously the lights were upset that you were moving and didn't want to come to the new house! lol :o) I have heard quite a few times that solar lights are nice but don't give you nearly enough light as you would want.
I had some solar lights a few years back, and also didn't like that they just sort of glowed without providing any real quality light.
I've always thought that solar powered outdoor lights were a great idea, but I have noticed that they can be rather weak - nice for decor, but not bright enough to actually light your way.
I love the look of solar lights but we too haven;t had the greatest luck with them!
