Songs We Sing Matt Costa By dmk417 on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I love this album. While I can't really praise it for originality, as Costa comes after many a folk-influenced barefoot hippie singer/songwriter, he still carves out a place for himself in the crowd. It's a light-hearted journey you take while you listen to this collection. I put it in the player when I need extra energy or it's cleaning time. I find myself singing along and my kid loves it, too! His first release on Brushfire Records, Jack Johnson's label, this is a favorite record in our house. Give "Sweet Rose," "Yellow Taxi," and "Wash Away" a try. You can probably guess who this guy is influenced by just from listening, and you'll be happy to find that you love them all. This stuff is good.
