Sony Blu Ray Dvd Player By Malcolm on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I, for one, love movies. I have even managed to add a "New DVD" section to my monthly budget. If a new DVD is released, it is on my shelf at home. Working in retail, I have the wondrous luck to try out many new products and the Sony Blu Ray DVD player is one of the best products ever made.

The Sony Blu Ray DVD Player connects to the television via a series of digital cable inputs. You can not hook this DVD player up through a VCR or through an S Cable connection.

The Sony Blu Ray Player plays both Blu Ray DVD's, as well as, traditional DVD's. The only DVD it will not play is an HD DVD.

Now, on to the good stuff. While the Sony Blu Ray Player will play a traditional DVD and clear up the picture dramatically, it will not turn that DVD into a Blu Ray DVD. And yes, you will notice the difference. A Blu Ray DVD is probably the clearest picture I have ever watched on a television. Of course, I was viewing the Blu Ray DVD on an LCD television so that helps a lot too.

The price of the Sony Blu Ray Player is the only thing stopping me from purchasing the player. The quality of pictures and sounds on a Blu Ray Player outweigh a traditional DVD player 10 to 1. This is one great product!
