Sony Dvdvcr Combo By manwithadream on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
We bought this combo DVD/VCR player because we still have a lot of movies on VHS and wanted to still be able to use them without having two different players on top of the TV. We have had this a couple of years and have used it a lot and it is still working as good as new. In addition to playing VHS tapes we are also able to play DVD+R, DVD+RW, DVD-R, DVD-RW, MP3 CD, and JPEG image CD's.
This player comes with a remote and all functions are pretty easy to use. It has progressive scanning, which provides higher resolution and sharper images. It also has picture zoom and a parental lock. I can program the VCR to record 8 different programs in a month, without having to remember to do it myself. It also lets me skip past the commercials when I am playing the recording back. I love that feature!
We have always had good luck with Sony products, including this one.

I love Sony too -- sounds like a great product!
Wow! I didn't know that Sony offers a combo. This would be great since we have a lot of VHS tapes too. I also love Sony products.
I have a VCR/DVD combo, too. I lam a fan since I have many tapes I love to watch. The ability to program the VCR and watch programs at a later date at my leisure has always been a feature I enjoy.
I was just telling my roommate that we needed a new DVD player. The one we had just stopped working for some reason. I like that it's a combo player because I still have videos that my nieve likes to watch.
