Sony Ericsson W580i By Digbybare By digbybare on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I recently got this phone from the AT&T store, for renewing my plan. I previously owned a Sony Ericsson T610, so I will be comparing it against that.

Physically, it's very sleek. It's about the same size as the T610, a bit thinner. The slider is pretty sturdy. The camera is hidden in the slider, so you do not have to worry about it getting dirty when not in use. The keys are the only part of the physical design I do not like. They feel rather flimsy. They are only attached at the middle.

The phone reception and sound quality are pretty good, although the speaker phone is a bit too quiet.

The camera is alright. All the pictures have this strange blur applied to it, but if you take a 2 mp picture it looks alright shrunk down to 1 mp or so. It's not a big deal if you don't plan on using this as your primary camera.

The other features, such as bluetooth are very convenient for communicating with you PC.
