My husband bought Sony Handy cam DCR-DVD105 last year when it was on 20% reduction sale. The Sony Handy cam DCR-DVD105 has number of additional features like zoom, night shot and editing. I have used the Sony Handy cam DCR-DVD105 a lot during the past months. I took snap shots and also movies equally. Both of the results are excellent. I just use the Sony Handy cam for photos and making movies. I find the Handy cam very handy, easy to use and with better results.
The built-in voice recorder is very powerful. The built-in voice recorder records very high quality voice with clarity. Sony Handy cam DCR-DVD105 is DVD+RW/-RW/-R Compatible. It has Carl Zeiss Lens and Touch Panel LCD.
The Handy cam has space for small size DVD. The Battery is infoLITHUM (P) which once charge last for 2 hrs.
I myself like the Sony Handy cam DCR-DVD105 very much. The still photos are the same high quality just like Digital cameras. Movies quality is also very good. The best thing about the Sony handy cam is I can use the Rewritable DVD again and again after formatting. The Sony Handy cam has saved money on DVDs because it is rewritable compatible.

We own a Sony also. Ours takes the Hi-8 film though. I wish I had one like yours. The features are spectacular. I love how light and maneuverable they are. I've been having problems transferring mine to the computer for editing. I think it's the software. One of these days I'll get it troubleshooted to the point where I can edit the film. I can't wait to start uploading videos.
