For a digital camcorder buyer new to the market, this was a great buy for me. Combination of great price and features. The picture quality is great on this. The 30 gig hard drive on it also holds plenty of video so you can record as long as the battery holds up. Buyer advice, if you buy this, buy an extended life battery. The one that comes with it does not last long. Very nice touch screen on the fold out, great lighting feature, and very good sound quality. The camera itself is very lightweight and can be held up very easily for extended periods of time. Easy to transfer the video and pics to the computer with the charger cradle too. Computer picked it up no problem. Easy to burn to dvd too with the programs provided. Highly recommended.
