Sony Icf C218 Radio Alarm Clock By numero9 on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

The Sony ICF-C218 Automatic Time Set Clock Radio is your standard radio and alarm clock, and it is appropriately priced so. This model comes in an all-black design with green digital LCD display. One of the best features of this alarm clock is that it automatically sets the time for you as soon as you plug it in. It syncs with an atomic clock satellite to the get the correct time within a few seconds. Furthermore, it has a hand display telling you whether it is daylight savings time or not. While this might seem superfluous, I haven't seen it on much other alarm clocks – especially in this price range. One of the disappointing features is the ability to only set the actual alarm for one time. Most alarm clocks now have the feature of setting two different alarms according to different days (weekdays, weekends, etc.) The green display is calming and is non-intrusive on your bed stool, unlike comparable red displays. The alarm clock's radio feature has the standard band of radio frequencies, but the sound quality is that what you expect of an alarm clock. Overall, this alarm clock does its job if you need something cheap.
