Sony Model Hvl F1000 External Flash By Karen on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

My Sony DSC-F707 camera has a great built-in flash, but one drawback is the fact that I have to wait for the flash to charge up again before I can take another picture. The external flash from Sony, Model HVL-F1000, charges up much more quickly and is very powerful. It operates on four AA batteries. I purchased the flash from the Sony website for approximately $150.00. It fits nicely on top of the lens portion of my camera and has an on-off switch on the back. When on, the external flash overrides the camera's built-in flash. When off, the camera's built-in flash takes over. This flash is a great asset when taking photos where extra light is needed. It can be used pointing directly at your subject or at an angle, bouncing off of walls or ceilings to give just the right amount of light. I am very well pleased with this flash because it performs really well.
