Sony Noise Cancelling Headphones By kman63 on - Updated Sep 18, 2011

Listening to music through headphones while traveling on a plane or in a car or in a crowded, noisy place can be aggravating because it seems you can never hear anything. Noise cancelling headphones made by Sony can help reduce the amount of outside noise you hear while listening to music. The noise cancelling circuit can reduce the amount of sound from around you by 10 decibels. They do not completely eliminate noise, but certainly help a lot. The sound quality of the music is excellent, which I would expect out of any Sony product. The noise cancelling feature must be switched on by a toggle switch on the right earpiece. Needs 1 AAA battery which goes into a little battery compartment on the side of the unit. The battery lasts about six hours before needing replaced. I thought that $39 was a little pricey for a pair of headphones, but the added noise cancelling feature makes the extra money worth it.
