Reviewing: Sonyh Sony Remote

I think this remote is a wonderful tool. It is a universal remote that we got with one of our pieces of TV equipment. It works for everything we've come across so far. It makes it easy to turn on the TV, switch to DVD settings, flip a switch on the remote to target DVD players, and then turn it on and play it. Plus you can even connect to most surround sound systems, so you can set that up as well.

In my experience with this remote, it has worked very well, though the paint comes off really easily, making it look very used and old. One other shortcoming that keeps it from a perfect 10 is its limited range. You have to be pointing almost directly at the TV or DVD player to make it work, so hitting it at an angle is very hard to do. It makes it so only the person sitting directly in front of the TV can be the "remote person".

Based on all this, I give the Sony remote an almost perfect 9 out of 10. With just a little more work on it, and a greater IR beam, this could be the perfect remote. It's close enough, though, that I'd recommend it to anyone in need of a decent remote to use.

I am the only girl in the house - I don't get to touch what they call the, "remote"!! I'm not sure I even know how one works other than the power button!
