Sony Trinitron Television
By k0b3x onThe Sony Trinitron series is one of the older models made my Sony. It is not a high definition television, but one of the higher quality "regular" televisions that you can buy. I've had my 36 inch for a couple of years now and it has not given me one problem. This means that I had to do no maintenance to it and it has been more than reliable. The television has average to above average picture quality and the sound is loud and clear. My Sony also turns on relatively quickly compared to other non-HDTVs. The price of all televisions are slowly starting to drop and if you want a cheap alternative to the pricey HDTVs, I would definitely give the Sony Trinitron a look for its unbeatable reliability, brand name, and clean picture. However, most people want the high def picture now, so I would just say to spend more money and go high def.

I am definitely a Sony girl. Thats all I have ever owned and love them. Thanks for the great information!
High def is the way to go now, but this still sounds like a great tv for the money.
Yeah I am wondering about the rating too. I guess eventually we will switch to all HD TVs when we get the money. I just hate having to do it though.
Sounds like a good tv for an affordable price. THanks for the information.
Informative and well written. thanks for sharing.
I agree, the next TV we buy will be HD but we are holding out as long as possible. We like our Sony TV also and don't feel there is any reason to get a HD just to upgrade.
This sounds like a nice transitional tv before venturing in the world of HD!
