Sony Under Cabinet Kitchen Radio Cd Player By xshellyx on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
Why didn't I buy one of these sooner? I spend a lot of time in the kitchen and it's great to have some music while I cook. I received a cheaper brand of these for Christmas, installed it, and the CD player didn't work. Instead of trying another, I bought the Sony instead and it has worked great ever since!
It has many great features: shuffle and repeat play on the CD player, bass boost, preset radio channels, kitchen timer, and it even has a TV tuner so I can listen to the news while I cook dinner! The antenna is built in so there is no extra wire hanging down like on my last one. The sound is great for such a small unit and it does have a lot more bass than my first. The presets and time need reset after the power goes out but that's a minor issue. The remote is magnetic and stays nicely on the fridge when not in use. It does almost everything the main unit does and also has a mute button, great for when the phone rings!
It was easy to install. It comes with a template that you put on your cabinet and it tells you exactly where to drill holes. It looks nice and sounds great--I really don't know why I didn't buy one of these sooner. I'm very happy with this purchase.

This unit sounds like they really got a lot of things right!
We got one as a wedding gift - it was the best gift ..... and we didn't even register for it! We really love it.
I have been thinking of getting one of these myself, thanks for the information
Excellent idea! I want one of these too!
Sounds like you have a great time groovin' in the kitchen while cooking! Definitely sounds like good fun!
