Who doesnt want/need more energy? This product has highlighted on their packaging GUARANTEED BURST OF ENERGY I was working 2 jobs and a single mom of 3 kids and was always feeling run downso of course this caught my attention.

Just so that we are all clear on this , THIS IS NOT A MEAL REPLACEMENT SHAKE.
This is a vitamin, mineral and protein energy shake (supplement). It uses isolated soy protein from NON- GMO (not genetically modified) soy beans.
* 25 grams of soy protein a day , as part of a diet low in saturated fat and cholesterol MAY reduce the risk of heart disease. A serving of Source of Life Energy Shake has 6.25 grams of soy protein.* (as stated on the packaging)

THE BLEND
Vitamins, minerals, lipids, bioflavonoids, enzymes, plant pigments, amino acids, nucleic acids and herbs. Whole brown rice, spirulina, bee pollen, young barley leaves, sunflower oil, carrots and black currant seeds are included to work synergistically and result in that guaranteed bust of energy

HERBAL BASE
Astralagus root, ligustrum berry, schisandra fruit, young barley leaf, Echinacea root, irish moss and thyme leaf.

Im going to stop there with the ingredients ,the above list is whats listed on the package, there is also a whole break down of the blends- bioflavanoids, nucleic acids, enzymes, lipids , plant pigments, highly active nutrient base..but I could go on and write a book with all the information there is on those ,so if you would like to see the FULL break down of those I will include the website at the bottom of this review.

MY EXPERIENCE .AND HOW DOES IT TASTE
I first tried this product years ago..but just this week we purchased it again for my husband to use. He works construction and is always looking for a boost!
It is very easy to shake/mixunlike a lot of other shakes Ive tried. I mix it with milk because it is GRANOLA FLAVORED (yep sounded weird to me to!)
Let me first prepared you for the color!! The powder is a light green, when you add it to the milk and start shaking, it gets darker and darker till its a bright dark green. I remember thinking to my self I have to drink THAT?? It looked a lot like blended broccoli!! The taste well what can I sayits different. It DOES taste like a bowl of granola cereal with milk . The consistency of the shake is pretty thick and it is creamy, I guess it is about the same as a milk shake would be. At first it was a little hard with the color, taste and consistency combination to get down. Although it is not a meal replacement it is filling. Also, I did NOT find this to be gritty at all, and I did get use to the taste ..its just not something I would sip on for enjoyment !
Now the first time I used this, I was working(Wild Oats) and it was about lunch time. I was so out of energy . I bought this (single serve packet) and an 8oz milk and drank itabout half an hour later I DID feel the boost. It is a natural feeling energy kicknot one of those buzz types but it most definitely gave me some legs. It lasted for hours, and there was no crash (so many of those energy things that are popular now days come with the crash that leaves you worse than before you took it!)
MY HUSBANDS EXPERIENCE
My husband doesnt drink coffee so he decided to try it in the morning before work.
He had a really hard time with the taste, he described it as awful.
He said that he didnt notice any extra energy. The next day he went to work without drinking any of the shake. He said that he seemed to get worn down feeling faster than the day he DID take it. So the next morning he started taking it again.
He usually uses the Monster energy drink , I noticed that he has stopped taking that to work.
Im not saying this is the cure all for a lack of energy but I do believe that it helps.

Source of Life offers this in tablet form , I tried it once and for me the shake just seemed to work better/faster. They also offer these in the larger can sizes 1.1lbs , 2.2lbs
They can be expensive so I suggest trying the single serve packets to see if this is something you like before buying the larger sizes.
I paid $2.36 for each single serve packet at our small natural foods store in town.

WHERE TO FIND IT
Any natural foods market will have this. I have also seen Raleys carry it in the natural section. It is also very easy to find online.

Final recommendation is that it's a good one to try if you are looking for a long lasting, natural energy boost to help you get through the day...also great for that energy boost before a work out!

This sounds like something I might could try but the green may turn me off. I just don't know about that one. How did you drink green milk? But I am all for a boost of energy. Thanks for sharing.
