It's another great cookbook from Southern Living. Homestyle Cooking is full of the recipes I grew up with and still love to cook. Just a peek at the chocolate cake on the cover and your mouth will start watering. Not to mention your mind forgets about calories. This is a compliation of all those delicious Southern recipes, including peach cobbler, fried catfish, biscuits with sausage gravy, double-frosted bourbon brownies and lemon buttermilk cake.

I cook constantly. With a husband, two teenagers and their hoards of hungry friends who apparently don't have homes of their own, I never know how many will be around our kitchen table. This is the cookbook I reach for the most, and it always has the answer. If you love Southern cooking, you'll truly use this cookbook. And the pictures (it's from Southern Living!) are gorgeous!
