Southwest Airlines

Reviewing: Airlines Southwest

My family took our first flight to Disney World this past March and we used Southwest Airlines. We had heard our friends talk about how great Southwest was, so when it came time to book our flight we decided on Southwest. When I was ready to book the flights online all I had to do was go to Southwest's website. The booking process is really simple if you decide to book online. The information that was needed when booking online was depart and return dates, airports needed, and the number of guests traveling. Once the payment information was entered a confirmation number was given. Then all you need to do is 24hrs before your departure time print your boarding passes. One of the really great things about Southwest Airlines is you get to choose your own seats once you board the plane. Whenever you print your boarding passes you will either get an A, B or C. These letters determine the order in which you board the plane. It is always better to have an A because you get to board before the B's and the B's board before the C's. When it is time for you to return home all you do is print your boarding passes 24hrs before your departure time. While on the plane we found the seats to be very roomy and comfortable. The flight attendants were really nice. We were given a small snack and a drink while on the plane, since we had a short flight.

We have already booked our trip to Disney World for next year and as soon as the flight schedules are released for our dates of travel we will definately be booking our flight with Southwest Airlines.

I used to fly southwest all the time. Never had a real problem with them.

I'm glad you had a nice flight with Southwest. I have been a little apprehensive about flying Southwest because of that Airline show on tv. Maybe I'll try them the next time I fly.

I flew Southwest once a few years back and I was VERY impressed with the airline. The first thing that I noticed is that the entire staff of the plane was friendly and outgoing, not stiff and stuffy like other flights I had been on (not that there have been many!). I also really love their ticker symbol - LUV - it's just another classy way of showing their spirit.

Actually I kind of like the seat selection system. If you plan ahead you get better choices (as defined by you). Sounds like lots of people have had good experiences with them.

I hate flying, but this does sound decent. Thanks for sharing the information.

I haven't flown anywhere in ages (d/t DS's peanut allergy and recycled air on planes). Glad Southwest was a good experience for you:0)

I have never flown Southwest before. Sounds like you enjoyed it, but I would prefer to have my seat assignment before boarding the plane. Looks like it's open seating and that might be a problem getting all your family seated together.

Sounds really nice. I am a little scared to fly and have been worried about the recent flight delays and it being a big hassle to even board the plane with all the new rules. I'm not sure if I will ever fly but It's good to have some information on each company.
