Southwest Airlines By Tinkerbelle22 By tinkerbelle22 on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Southwest Airlines is a pretty basic airlines that is convenient, friendly, and easy to use. I travel through Southwest quite often and have always had a good experience with them.

Southwest is a no frills airline, so they do not offer first class seating. All of their seats are exactly the same size. There is also no assigned seating. You are given a boarding group based on when you check in for your flight, and then you line up at your gate and board the plane in that order. It is a pretty easy system and gets everyone on the plane quickly. People who are used to having assigned seats may not like this, but I like it a lot.

They do not have any meals or entertainment on their flights either. They offer snacks and drinks, which are free, except for alcoholic beverages. I take mostly short flights so I don't mind that at all, but for longer flights it might be better if they offered more.

I have always found the staff at Southwest to be very friendly and helpful. They are also very funny and make fun annoucements and comments occasionally during a flight.

I really like Southwest airlines and they are usually my first choice of airlines. They offer great deals and service.
