SOWING YOUR SEEDS!!!
By Geralyn Hydock onEvery year, I try and start plants in those little peat pots. Our house does not receive a lot of natural sunlight therefore I put the potted seeds on a shelf in the kitchen which has a light alongside of it. The seeds did grow but they were tall and spindly. I had seen this mini greenhouse advertised and thought I might try it out for the heck of it. To my amazement, my plants grew very well in this portable hot house. Now when I put them in the ground is another story. Most of them did well but a few did die on me.
This hot house growing system gives seedlings a warm, moist environment for a strong start. Gentle warmth is also provided to the planting bed and roots grow much better. There is a high dome on the product which allows for controlled humidity. I found it very easy to set the entire system up. All I had to do was cut the plastic in the designated areas for the desired level of humidity control. I then filled the 72 cell tray with a quality potting soil. After sowing my seeds, I plugged the matt in, put the tray on the mat, watered the seeds to the required amount of moisture, and finally covered the tray with the plastic top. Now all I did was sit back and watched myseeds grow. I had a good amount of sturdy plants to replant in my garden last spring. Try it out, it really does work.

I have the farthest thing from a green thumb as possible but this does sound non-green thumb friendly. Although I think it would be cooler if you could just grow the plants in the original thing and not have to replant them. That would be where I would loose them. Good job!
Grerat timing with this. I am starting to plan my garden and was looking for a great greenhouse to start inside.
I have the same problem no direct sunlight in my house. Do you think this would work for herbs? Thanks
Sounds like I could use one of these as I don't have that green thumb and can use all the help I can get.
Great Article. My dad had a green thumb i don't will have to try this
Wow, what a difference the greenhouse made huh? Sounds pretty easy to use too.
This mini greenhouse is really ideal for those who don't have ideal light and warming conditions. The price is very reasonable given the fact that in the end you save money by growing healthier, sturdier plants from seed.
Wow, I don't think it would work for me though --- I have a serious brown thumb ;)
Sounds very interesting. Thanks for the information.
Hmm, I have a bunch of seeds I got from National Garden Bureau for free this year. I'll have to check out this company for starting them. Thanks for the information.
