I have never heard of Soyo before and therefore, I was doubtful about the quality and performance when I first bought it. It turns out that the performance was similar to Acer, Norcent and Viewsonic. Great, clean, crisp resolution and bright. It was very impressive and went beyond my expectation. The widescreen was awesome for viewing and watching movies. The speakers were subpar and do not add value to the monitor in any way. The contrast ratio was 500:1 slightly below what I would love to have. The screen was not heavy at all. The tilting system was a bit stiff but manageable. The built quality was mostly plastic which makes it a bit cheap looking. Nonetheless, it has a DVI connection which was a plus but cable was not included. Overall, a good, inexpensive LCD monitor.
