It wouldn't be Christmas without Spangler Candy Canes. I buy these candy canes every holiday season, and I feel like something is missing if I don't have a box of Spangler Candy Canes. I get the natural peppermint flavor because that is what most appeals to me, but they do come in other flavors as well. There are 12 nice-sized candy canes in a 6 oz. box, and these red and white striped candy canes have such good flavor.

Each cane has 55 calories, 0 fat, 0 sodium and 11 grams of sugar. The Spangler Candy Company, located in Bryan, Ohio, has been doing business since 1906. It is a family business and the recipe for these great tasting candy canes has been handed down through generations.

I bought two boxes of canes so I would have enough to last through the holidays. Last year, I went to Walmart and ended up buying four boxes after Christmas was over because they were reduced in price and I just couldn't resist. But the best thing, I have found, is to have them before Christmas. That is when I enjoy them the most.
