Sparkle Shirt
By janetlynn onLast Christmas, friends of ours gave me this Mickey Mouse long sleeved black shirt. I absolutely love it! As you can see from the pictures (hopefully), the color is still wonderfully black and not faded at all. I do wash this in the machine and have dried it too, probably should air dry, but I don't like hanging around the laundry machines. I never have to iron it at all and none of the rhinestones have fallen off - which is rare when you put something like this in a machine. The Mickey Mouse design is a grey colored iron-on type transfer and that hasn't even cracked a bit from putting it in the dryer.
The shirt is made of a t-shirt type fabric but it also has a little spandex in it. It hangs beautifully when I wear it and the sleeves are nice and long, which is something hard for me to find because I am tall and have long arms. Normally, most long sleeve shirts are like 3/4 sleeves, but not this one.
I had actually purchased this shirt for myself in October at the Disney Liquidation Sale for under $10 but when I got it as a gift too, I gave one of them to my mother-in-law and she loves it too. We can be twins sometimes and yes, I love my mother-in-law.
The pictures of the shirt hanging up doesn't really do it justice but I tried to get up close on the image so you could see the sparkle it has.
This design had been in the park for probably a year and then they marked down the whole clothing and office accessory line to really great prices. And considering my friend is an Imagineer at Disney, he probably paid under $5 for it. The shirt retailed for around $40.
I love wearing this shirt when it gets cooler outside and of course during the holiday season because of the pretty rhinestones.
