Spelling Bee Bingo By Janna on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
My family has had the Spelling Bee Bingo game in our family for close to six years. My daughter loved it as a toddler and as soon as my son is a little older (he is only 2) I'll be introducing this game to him.
Spelling Bee Bingo is a great game to teach children the alphabet and how to spell and read small words. I found that this really helped my daughter to gain confidence in her spelling abilities when she was younger.
This game comes with a set of 12 bingo cards that have either a three or four letter word on them. The word comes with a picture so if your child doesn't read well they can still identify the word by the picture. There is also a tray in the shape of a cute bee character, 26 letter tiles and yellow circular chips.
To play this game the letter tiles are placed into the tray letterside down. The players take turn turning over a letter at a time. After each letter is turned over the player will search for that letter on their bingo card. If their card has the apropriate letter then the player puts a chip on the letter of their bingo card. When the word has been spelled out the child can call out BINGO!
THis is a great game for children ages 3-7. Like I said my daughter enjoyed it and I had a lot of fun too.
