The first of the Spider-Man movies. Starring Toby Maguire and Kirsten Dunst. Peter Parker is bitten by a spider and becomes Spider Man. When his uncle is killed, he is very upset because the killer is someone he could have stopped in a robbery, but he did not. Spider Man fights crime, as Peter Park earns money by photographing Spider Man. I watched Spiderman cartoons with my brother when I was little. When this movie came out, I wanted to go see it and I totally enjoyed it. When it became available on DVD, I we knew we had to add it to our collection. It is full of action and drama. I had not noticed Toby Maguire prior to this movie, but he did a great job and I thought he was a good actor. The chemistry between him and Kirsten Dunst seemed genuine.

I liked the way the movie did not just focus on the action and the hero, but also focused on the personal life of Peter Parker - much like the comic books did. The movie did have some violence in it that made me tense up.
